Using Captivate and Storyline on the iPad

Captivate and Storyline files will work on the iPad, but be sure to follow the publishing directions for both Captivate and Storyline file types. 

There are some limitations to be aware of if you know a large number of your user base will be using the iPad. 

Limitations on the iPad to keep in mind when creating your content. 

Captivate:
  • PowerPoints with animations added to your project will not play on the iPad
  • Interactive steps that involve "right-clicking" will not work. 
  • Interactive steps that involve clicking small areas of a screen shot often do not work well due to the size of trainee fingers and the small hit area.

Articulate limitations on the iPad:
  • Any interactive screens that require the user to type into input boxes will not work. This include surveys (Survey responses will not be reported to the Trainer and should not be included in your files). 
  • Interactive steps that involve "right-clicking" will not work. 
  • Interactive steps that involve clicking small areas of a screen shot often do not work well due to the size of trainee fingers and the small hit area. 
  • Embedded YouTube files will not play.
